TO ALL POTENTIAL B.E.A.C. MEMBERS

The Boeing Employees' Autosports Club (BEAC) welcomes your interest and encourages you to join us. BEAC has been a healthy and active club for some time (since 1972), and it owes its continued success to the efforts of all of its members, new and not-so-new. Our primary competitive focus is in the world of autoslalom (a.k.a. autocrossing, Solo II, slalom, etc.), but we also have members who rally, road race, and/or restore cars of almost every imaginable variety. Some of us are just here for the fun of it, others are highly serious about auto sports.

BEAC belongs to the Western Washington Sports Car Council (WWSCC), which sanctions a championship autoslalom series each year in our area. Many of our members also participate in the Sports Car Club of America's (SCCA) Solo II program, which also conducts its own regional championship series, along with divisional and Street Solo events. The east and west parking lots at the Everett Boeing plant are the main locations for our events. Our program is for people interested in autoslalom includes a two-part drivers' school, usually held in late April and/or early May, and numerous practice events open only to BEAC members.

Club members have access to a wide variety of automobile repairing, restoring, and competition preparation equipment. All of the equipment is the property of the club and may be borrowed by members at no cost (unless a "cleaning deposit" is required). For a small fee, larger items can be delivered and picked up.

Other club benefits include: Free refreshments after club events and during monthly meetings; eligibility for championship points in the WWSCC series; eligibility for the BEAC-only "Common Car Championship"; a much-reduced price for the year-end banquet and awards presentation.

Sound interesting? Feel free to contact anyone in the club for additional information. Come to a meeting and find out who the active members are and what they do. Our regular meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. in the Oxbow Rec Center, Building 9-150, next to the Developmental Center in Tukwila. (Click here for map.)
